Canadian Natural has an exciting new prospect for a Mine Maintenance Trainer to join our Albian Training team. Reporting to the Lead Hand, Mine Training you will support development and deliver the training programs that have been implemented to a variety of Mining tradespersons and other workers as required.Job location: Albian Oil Sands - Fort McMurray, AlbertaShift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off (12 hrs/day and 10 hrs/day on days 1 & 7)Safety sensitive position: YesApplication deadline: September 26, 2026Key AccountabilitiesAssist in the training and development of Maintenance workers to produce a high level of operating skills on various equipment, processes and tasks within the workforce including employees and contractorsConduct ongoing classroom and field training, and complete evaluations for new and existing employeesPerform and document initial and periodic competency assessments of trainees and provide necessary feedback and progress reportsComplete various documentation and training records and ensure they are complete, accurate and retained in the database systemCommunicate training results to key employeesMentor trainees and develop remedial action plans for anyone who may require further training, mentoring and follow-upReport on potential problem areas and assist in solutionsParticipate in the delivery of relevant simulator training and computer-based learning (CBL)



programsComply with Canadian Natural's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, procedures, and applicable legislative requirements by following safe work practices, using required personal protective equipment (PPE), and promptly reporting any injuries, illnesses, unsafe acts, or unsafe conditionsWhat You Bring To The RoleMinimum of 10 years' experience in heavy equipment support & maintenance in an industrial environment is requiredAn advanced understanding of the safe and efficient operation of small loaders, skid steers, highway tractors, aerial work platforms, telehandlers, overhead cranes and fuel & lube trucks is requiredRigging, loading, securing loads and knuckle boom truck experience is requiredBasic computer skills (Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel) are requiredPrevious experience in an equipment training role and supervisory experience would be an assetGrade 12 or GED is requiredValid Alberta Driver's LicenseAlberta Mine Safety Association (AMSA) certificateRed seal certification would be an assetWhat We OfferCompetitive salary, stock options, company matched stock savings plan, annual bonuses100% Employer paid extended Health,
