Programs: MentorJob Title: Mentor SupervisorSalary/Hourly Rate: $20-$30/hourDirect Reports: N/APosition Status: ContractorLocation: Western MD, Southern MD, Upper Shore MDPosition OverviewThe Contractual Mentor (CM) provides direct, individualized support to participants enrolled in the Alternative Placement for Youth Program (APY). Mentors work one-on-one with youth and young adults to promote personal growth, life skills development, and positive behavioral outcomes to become independent adults. This is a flexible, contract-based role ideal for individuals seeking part-time or supplemental income while making a meaningful impact. Participants may present a range of needs, including behavioral challenges, developmental differences (including youth on the autism spectrum and some experience incontinence), and varying levels of independence.Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To)Collaborate with participants to implement individualized goals, plans, and strategies that support personal development and improved functioning.Provide transportation for participants as needed,Facilitate learning opportunities that enhance social skills, decision-making, and overall life competencySupport participants in building life skills necessary for successful transition into adulthoodConduct structured and hands-on activities, including mentoring sessions, community exposure, and skill-building exercisesProvide guidance and support for participants with varying behavioral and developmental needsMaintain consistent documentation of all participant interactions using the Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
