This role will also be responsible for embedding continuous improvement by utilizing and adapting best practices and moving those practices forward. There is potential opportunity to also support EVR's other closure property, Bullmoose mine.To be successful, we require someone who can multitask, stay organized, and support multiple scopes within a fast-paced team environment. Working a compressed work week with alternating Fridays off, come experience what work life balance is all about!In this role you will:Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policiesExecute and manage regulatory compliance, environment program execution and field compliance monitoring, including seasonal co-op employeesManage all current and new environmental programs activities, including, but not limited to, Fisheries, Wildlife, Biomonitoring, and Surface Water Quality and Quantity monitoringManagement of external consultants and coloration with internal subject matter experts, as requiredManage regulatory compliance program, including the supervision of field based regulatory compliance team and seasonal staff. Training of seasonal staffManage and support environmental management systems (Health, Safety, Environment, and Communities, or HSEC), including integration of corporate standards in closureManage,



support and execute on internal and external reporting.Continual communication and engagement with site Safety and Operations teams in implementing environmental and compliance programsIdentify risks, issues or challenges, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutionsDevelop annual objectives in conjunction with overarching coal business unit objectives and in alignment with site-specific objectivesDevelop and manage annual budgets to support the completion of objectivesOther duties as assigned or requiredRequirements:Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Management, Engineering, or otherMinimum three to five years' experience in the field of environmental management and monitoring, with preference given to candidates with experience in regulatory compliance, environmental programs, and HSECTechnical knowledge of relevant federal and provincial environmental legislation, standards, and effective industry practicesProficient in geographic information systems with experience in environmental data management, analysis and reportingExcellent project management experience with a track record that includes management and technical direction of multiple programs, or projectsStrong analytical and decision‐making abilities with a proven capacity in practical problem solvingStrong leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work productively with nominal supervision and work independentlyMulti-tasking competing priorities to see projects to completion while addressing any challenges along the wayValid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalentSalary: $90,100 - $112,600 CAD/year
