Reports to: Service ManagerWork Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pmThe vehicle assembler is responsible for installing a range of accessories and body components onto vehicle chassis and assists with connecting body builder systems to vehicle. The vehicle assembler will prepare and gather parts to install onto vehicles to the required specifications including wiring and electrical components.Responsibilities:Here are some other responsibilities of the vehicle assembler:assembling pieces and parts using specialized tools and equipmentreading instructions and designs before assembling productsensuring they have the necessary parts and supplies before assemblyusing high quality and functional materials plus identifying materials with defectspositioning and aligning parts and components on the line with hoists or manuallyusing templates to assembly products correctlyfollowing the company's safety standards and policiesconducting inventory checkscollaborating with other employees on the assembly linemaintaining equipment and toolscompleting quality checks and formsQualifications that a candidate MUST possess to gain consideration for this position:Experience using hand and power toolsExperience with electrical component installationAble to read and follow instructions and diagramsAble to work independently and as a productive team memberStrong Interpersonal skillsExperience with Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of truck dealerships and heavy-duty parts an assetWilling to learn and able to take direction and work under tight deadlinesValid driver's licenseMust be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customerMust be self-starter and motivatedMust possess good written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to handle competing priorities and meet deadlinesMust conduct his / herself in a qualified mannerQualifications that are WANTED in a candidate:Previous experience with manufacturing or vehicle assembly / rig ups.CDK accounting software experienceGood organizational skillsThe ability to communicate and work with othersStrive for respect and teamwork within all departmentsAble to utilize manufacturer and supplier websites
