Fencing Crew Supervisor

High Standard Landscape Maintenance Ltd. is a locally owned and operated landscaping company serving the Edmonton and St. Albert area for over 30 years. We primarily work with builders and developers on current residential construction projects.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Fencing Supervisor to lead our fencing crews and oversee residential fencing projects throughout the Edmonton and St. Albert area.

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise a fencing crew on residential construction sites
- Install wood fencing, gates, posts, and related fencing materials
- Read and follow site plans, layouts, and measurements
- Ensure fencing is installed accurately and to company standards
- Coordinate daily work with crew members and site contacts
- Measure and lay out fence lines and post locations
- Operate and maintain fencing tools and equipment
- Organize materials and ensure crews have the supplies needed to complete the job
- Identify and address issues with grading, property lines, site conditions, or existing structures
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on schedule
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Train and provide direction to less experienced crew members
- Communicate progress and any site issues to management

Qualifications
- Previous fencing and/or carpentry experience required
- Previous foreman or crew lead experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of residential wood fence construction
- Comfortable using hand and power tools




- Ability to accurately measure, level, and lay out fence lines
- Able to read basic site plans and construction layouts
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Physically capable of performing outdoor, labour-intensive work
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence is an asset
- Experience working on new-build residential construction sites is an asset

About the Job This is a hands-on position. The Supervisor will be expected to work alongside the crew while also taking responsibility for planning, quality control, productivity, and day-to-day direction of the fencing crew.

Most of our work is on new residential construction sites throughout Edmonton and St. Albert, so experience working around builders, construction crews, and developing subdivisions is an asset.
