Dueck Auto Group is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to manage complex payroll processing, benefits administration, reporting, compliance, and payroll process improvement. and company policiesInvestigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee pay issuesAdminister benefit enrolments, changes, terminations, deductions, and invoice reconciliationPrepare and analyze payroll, labour cost, compensation, and other management reportsSupport payroll and general ledger reconciliations and internal or external auditsIdentify opportunities to streamline, automate, and modernize payroll processes and systemsCollaborate with Payroll Manager and the Finance team on updating and implementing payroll procedures, controls, documentation, and reporting toolsMonitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting payroll and benefitsAct as a payroll resource to Payroll, Finance, Human Resources, managers, and employeesSkills & Qualifications3-5 years of progressive payroll and benefits experience, including complex payroll processingExperience processing multiple pay types, including commission, flat-rate, salary, and hourly compensationStrong knowledge of Canadian payroll practices, CRA requirements, BC Employment Standards, and WorkSafeBC requirementsExperience with payroll remittances, reconciliations, ROEs, year-end processing, taxable advantages, and final payStrong payroll reporting and analytical skillsAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with payroll data and reconciliationsDemonstrated ability to improve payroll processes, controls, and efficienciesStrong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to maintain confidentialityExperience with Payworks or a comparable payroll system is requiredPayroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is preferredAutomotive dealership or other complex, multi-location payroll experience is a strong assetLogistical RequirementsThis is a full-time position Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with 30 minutes for lunch. On occasion, you may be required to work extended hours in order to meet deadlines based on the needs of the business.
