Lura Talent is partnering with an organization, located in the heart of downtown Montreal, seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to lead its IFRS reporting and support the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements. This role is suited to a CPA or equivalent who enjoys technical accounting, works well across teams, and can turn complex financial information into clear recommendations.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

- Coordinate the financial reporting cycle, including consolidation, supporting schedules, disclosures, and management review materials.

- Research and assess complex accounting matters, document conclusions, and advise stakeholders on their financial reporting impact.

- Monitor changes to IFRS standards and lead the implementation of applicable accounting policies.

- Partner with finance teams to review results, investigate variances, and improve the quality of reporting.





- Act as a key contact for external auditors and coordinate reporting deliverables during the audit.

- Strengthen controls, documentation, and processes to make financial reporting more efficient and reliable.

- Support special projects, including new transactions, system improvements, and process changes.

Qualifications

- CPA designation or equivalent.

- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and disclosures.

- Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, external audit, or a combination of these areas.

- Ability to manage deadlines, resolve complex issues, and communicate accounting conclusions clearly.

- Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented approach to working with finance and operational teams.

- Experience with consolidations and reporting for a public company is an asset.

- Experience supervising or mentoring team members is an asset.
