Power Street YMCA Child CarePenticton, BC V2A, CANLocation: Power Street, Queen's Park, and Uplands YMCA Childcare FacilitiesSchedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am–9:00am and 1:30pm–3:30pm; additional hours for training, early dismissal days, and seasonal programsThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values safety and responsibility, and is looking for a flexible role that combines transportation and child care support.What You Will DoIn this role, you will ensure safe transportation and support the overall child care experience.Safely operate YMCA vehicles in compliance with provincial regulations and YMCA standardsEnsure supervision and safety of children at all timesMaintain vehicle safety, ensuring children remain seated with seatbelts fastenedAssist children boarding and exiting the vehicle and release only to authorized individualsComplete daily pre-trip inspections and required documentationSupport child care staff in supervising children aged 5–12Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and staffFoster inclusive interactions aligned with YMCA valuesFollow all YMCA and provincial licensing policies and proceduresWhat You BringValid B.C.
