This position is responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, supporting and guiding service technicians, and ensuring safe, efficient shop performance. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and the capacity to manage a fast-paced agricultural dealership shop environment.Core ResponsibilitiesOversee daily shop operations and supervise service department personnelAssign and prioritize work to technicians based on skill level, workload, and urgencyReview completed work for quality and technical accuracyServe as point of escalation for technicians on complex diagnostic or repair issuesCoordinate scheduling and workflow across the shop; liaise with other locations and departments as neededProcess technician timecards for payrollWork with the Service Manager on all people issues, including ongoing performance management for service staff, regular mentorship, coaching and feedback, KPI tracking, culminating in a formal annual performance reviewMaintain a clean, safe, organized shop environmentServe as the on-site safety authority in accordance with the company OHS ProgramTechnical Leadership & Shop ResourcesMentor technicians, including apprentices, on diagnostic and repair proceduresSupport delivery of technical training and certification requirementsSupport the management of shop tooling and equipment in conjunction with the Service Manager, ensuring proper maintenance, calibration, and availabilityCoordinate with the parts department on parts availability for scheduled and in-progress workTechnical Duties & Physical RequirementsPerform hands-on inspections, repairs, diagnostics, maintenance, part replacements, and equipment updates alongside supervisory dutiesAbility to travel,



including driving for extended periods in all seasons and weather conditionsAbility to walk, stand, and move through shop environments for extended periods wearing PPEAbility to climb on and around equipment to conduct quality control checks and inspectionsAbility to occasionally lift, carry, or move tools, parts, or materials up to 50 lbsAbility to sit for extended periods while driving or working at a desk/computerAbility to occasionally perform hands-on diagnostic, repair, or inspection work in a shop settingVisual acuity sufficient to assess equipment condition and identify quality or safety issues during inspectionsCustomer RelationsCommunicate with customersregardingservice needs, estimates, and paymentsAnswer phones, greetwalk-in-customers, and support general office operationsCompleteequipment trafficking between locations and customer sitesSupport planning of location-specific company eventsAll other duties as assigned; this list of duties andresponsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties as management deems necessary from time to time.Competencies & QualificationsAgricultural Equipment Technician certification (or equivalent trade ticket), or significant equivalent hands-on service/mechanical experience in agricultural or heavy equipmentStrong agricultural equipment knowledge, with previous dealership experience considered an assetPrevious leadership experience considered an asset with the ability to manage or coach peoplePositive team attitude, robust work ethic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
