This role ensures the timely availability of materials to support production while optimizing inventory levels through effective planning, parameter ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.A key accountability of this role is the development, standardization, and continuous optimization of inventory planning parameters—including min/max levels, safety stock, and replenishment strategies. The Analyst is expected to build and refine these models based on demand patterns, lead times, variability, and service level targets to drive supply stability and inventory efficiency.Working closely with Procurement, Operations, Quality, and Supply Planning, the Material Planning Analyst supports supply continuity, improves inventory performance, and contributes to data-driven decision-making within a regulated (GPP) environment.This position is based out of Stayner, OntarioWhat you'll be doing:Execute end-to-end material planning for a defined portfolio of direct and indirect materials,



ensuring alignment with production schedules and demand requirementsTranslate demand forecasts and production plans into material requirementsEstablish, maintain, and continuously refine min/max inventory levels for all assigned materials, leveraging demand variability, lead times, and service level targetsDevelop and optimize planning parameters (e.G., safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, lead times), ensuring consistency and scalability across the material portfolioMonitor material availability and proactively manage shortages, delays, and supply disruptionsPartner with Procurement to support supplier communication, delivery tracking, and issue resolutionSupport inventory optimization initiatives, including reduction of excess and obsolete inventoryAssist in material lifecycle management activities, including phase-in/phase-out planning and controlled inventory depletionEnsure accuracy and integrity of material master data and support BOM alignment for assigned materialsSupport new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring material readiness and identifying potential supply risksIdentify and elevate supply risks (e.G., supplier performance, variability, regulatory constraints) and support mitigation actionsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes, parameter effectiveness, and system utilizationEnsure all planning activities comply with SOX controls, internal governance, and regulatory requirements related to cannabis handling, traceability,



and reportingYou'll need to have:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)3–5 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply planning within a CPG or regulated environmentStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, basic modeling); working knowledge of Word and PowerPointExperience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsStrong organizational and time management skills with attention to detailEffective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teamsFoundational understanding of inventory management principles (min/max, safety stock, reorder points, lead times)Working knowledge of regulated environments and compliance requirements (SOX knowledge is an asset)Supply chain certification (e.G., CPIM) is considered an assetSalary range: $75,000 - $85,000 (Stayner, Ontario*) per yearThe actual compensation offered will be based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, applicable market data, internal equity, and business needs, and may vary within the stated range.
