Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.Additional Required Qualifications:Successful completion of NCLEX exam. Experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department within the last 2 years. Minimum 5 years acute medicine / surgery experience may be considered. Completion of Emergency Nursing Provincial Education Program (ENPEP) modules or equivalent certification. Routinely demonstrate strong prioritization and assessment skills. Basic computer skills, familiarity with Connect Care, Netcare and PYXIS.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valuable command of the English language. Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision. Physical capability of performing all aspects of the role (bending, crouching, kneeling, overhead lifting, and mobilization of bariatric patients).Up to date N95 Mask Fitting.Preferred Qualifications:ACLS, ACCN, TNCC, ENPC, PALS certification.
