The ideal candidate will be a servant-leader who fosters collaboration, removes impediments, and ensures adherence to Scrum principles while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesAgile FacilitationLead all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.Guide the team in understanding and applying Scrum principles and practices.Maintain a collaborative, transparent, and psychologically safe team workplace.Coaching & MentoringCoach development teams on self-organization and cross-functionality.Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and clarity of goals.Mentor colleagues and other teams on agile best practices.Identify and proactively eliminate impediments to team progress.Manage risks and escalate issues to stakeholders when required.Shield the team from external distractions.Stakeholder CommunicationFacilitate clear communication among the Scrum Team, Product Owner,



and stakeholders.Track and report team progress using metrics such as velocity and sprint burndown.Ensure transparency and visibility of deliverables and timelines.Drive a culture of learning and innovation through effective retrospectives.Encourage experimentation with new tools, techniques, and processes.Continuously refine team practices to improve productivity.QualificationsExperience3–5 years as a Scrum Master in a true agile environment.Financial industry experience is highly preferred.Proven ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams.Project management experience is an asset.Technical SkillsProficiency with agile tools (e.G., JIRA, Confluence).Familiarity with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe) is a plus.Knowledge of transactional data reporting and financial products (e.G., OTC products) is advantageous.Certifications (preferred)Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)Professional Scrum Master (PSM I)Personal AttributesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.High emotional intelligence and empathy.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Customer-focused mindset with strong accountability.Bilingual (French/English) is an asset in the Montreal market.
