We are looking for a new float staff to join our team as of October 1, 2026! Responsibilities include cleaning and maintenance of communal areas in the childcare centre, snack and/or lunch preparation, and providing support to the classrooms as needed, including providing lunch breaks/planning time, or covering if an educator is absent. As such, successful candidates should be flexible, reliable, and able to work well under pressure.

No education in childcare is required for this position, however experience with children is strongly recommended. Food Handler's Certificate is encouraged, but not required.

Position Requirements

- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last 6 months
- Up to date immunizations including TB test completed in the last 6 months
- Valid First Aid and CPR-C certificate

Required Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm Successful candidates will also be eligible to receive the Wage Enhancement Grant (WEG) for every hour spent in ratio (e.g. covering classroom educators). The rate for WEG is $2/hr.

Pay: $17.95 per hour
