LAYOUT CARPENTER — Concrete Formwork

Great Bear Construction Group Inc. — Lower Mainland, BC

Excellent Bear Construction Group is seeking a skilled Layout Carpenter with the ability to read structural drawings and set out grid lines and control points on active formwork sites across the Lower Mainland.

Responsibilities

- Set out grid lines, column locations, and control points from structural drawings
- Operate theodolite and basic survey equipment on site
- Work closely with foremen and surveyors to ensure accurate layout before forming begins
- Verify slab and wall dimensions against drawings prior to pour
- Maintain accuracy and flag discrepancies to site supervision

Requirements

- Journeyman Carpenter or equivalent field experience




- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings
- Experience operating a theodolite or total station
- Detail-oriented with strong spatial awareness
- Experience in concrete formwork considered a strong asset
