Join an ongoing podcast project as a freelance video editor and content creator, working with completed Riverside recordings to produce polished, engaging episodes for YouTube and agile short-form content for social media. The podcast features candid conversations about life, family, business, and relationships, aiming for an authentic, unfiltered style. You will be responsible for editing full-length episodes, enhancing audio quality, syncing camera angles, applying basic colour correction, and integrating branded elements.

Additionally, you will identify standout moments to create vertical clips for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook, ensuring each episode is delivered ready to post every Wednesday.

While

Hamilton, Ontario-based freelancers are preferred, remote applicants across Canada are welcome.

Deliverables

- Edit full podcast episodes for YouTube, including audio cleanup, colour correction, and camera sync
- Add intro, outro, branding, captions/subtitles, and create YouTube thumbnails
- Identify and extract 3–5 compelling moments per episode for short-form vertical clips
- Format and deliver clips for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook
- Ensure all content is ready for weekly posting




- Collaborate for ongoing improvements and maintain consistent quality

Requirements

- Proven experience editing podcasts, interviews, or similar conversational video content
- Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and social media trends
- Ability to clean and enhance dialogue audio
- Skills in basic colour correction and video cleanup
- Experience creating captions/subtitles and social media graphics
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet weekly deadlines
- Based in Hamilton, Ontario preferred; remote applicants in Canada considered
- Portfolio or examples of relevant podcast/video editing work
