Ebb & Flow is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented freelance Production & Finishing Technician to join our growing studio team in Bracebridge.

This is a flexible, as-needed opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in producing high-quality work. The amount of work and number of shifts will vary depending on customer demand, making this a great fit for someone looking for occasional work, supplemental income, or a versatile freelance opportunity.

The role will involve both pouring concrete into small molds and completing the finishing process for our handcrafted concrete home goods, including prepping, patching, sanding, spray painting, and applying protective finishes.

What We’re Looking For

- A detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work

- Reliable and accountable, with high standards for quality
- Comfortable working with their hands and performing repetitive production tasks
- Ability to multitask, think critically, and problem-solve as needed
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for consistency, colour, and finish quality

- Experience in painting, finishing, or spray painting is an asset
- Experience pouring concrete or working with molds is an asset, but not required
- Comfortable wearing a respirator and other required PPE for extended periods

- Interested in learning and improving production processes
- Enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to learn our products and techniques

Responsibilities Depending on production needs, responsibilities may include:
- Measuring, mixing, and pouring concrete into small molds
- Demolding and inspecting concrete pieces
- Prepping, patching, and sanding surfaces
- Spray painting and applying protective finishes




- Performing quality checks and identifying product defects
- Maintaining consistent colour, coverage, and finish quality
- Meeting production targets while maintaining our quality standards
- Cleaning and maintaining workspaces, tools, and equipment
- Following established production and safety procedures
- Helping identify ways to improve efficiency and optimize our production process

Training will be provided on our specific products, techniques, materials, and workflow. About Ebb & Flow

The Details

- Position: Freelance / Independent Contractor
- Location: In person at our Bracebridge studio
- Schedule: Flexible and based on production demand
- Hours: Occasional shifts; the amount of work will vary depending on customer demand
- Start: Immediate
- Compensation: Starting at $18/hour, with the opportunity for increased compensation based on experience, skill, and performance
- Payment: Freelancer must be able to invoice Ebb & Flow, or be comfortable working under an appropriate contract arrangement

This position is designed to be flexible and will begin on an as-needed basis, but there may be an opportunity for a more permanent position in the future as our production needs grow and the right person becomes an integral part of our team.
