We are looking for an experienced Freight Broker who can source direct freight loads from shippers and match them with our carrier network.
Responsibilities
Find and develop relationships with direct shippers and manufacturers.
Source consistent, profitable freight loads for our carriers.
Negotiate rates and terms directly with shippers.
Coordinate loads from booking through delivery.
Build and maintain robust relationships with shippers and carriers.
Identify new lanes, customers, and freight opportunities.
Track market rates and negotiate competitive pricing.
Maintain accurate records of loads, rates, and customer information.
Requirements
Previous experience as a freight broker, freight agent, or logistics sales representative.
Proven ability to find direct shipper freight, not just loads from load boards.
Strong knowledge of the U.S.
and/or Canadian freight market.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Existing shipper contacts and a customer book of business are a strong advantage.
Ability to work independently and generate new business.
Compensation
Competitive commission-based compensation, with the opportunity to earn more based on the volume and profitability of the freight you bring in.
