Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Front Counter Attendant/Cashier to join our CHICK-N-JOY team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and keeping a clean, organized work setting. Your ability to manage time effectively and engage with customers will help create a positive experience.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders at the front counter
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process cash, credit, and digital payments accurately
- Prepare simple food items in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper hygiene and adherence to food handling protocols
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, dining space, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with sanitation regulations
- Manage cash handling duties efficiently, including giving correct change and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience




- Assist in basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods
- Follow all safety procedures related to food industry standards and workplace sanitation

Experience

- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards in the food industry is a plus
- Experience in serving or cashiering roles that require multitasking and upselling techniques
