As we expand our operations globally.Blackstone is looking for a Journeyman Machinist to join our shop team, supporting the precision manufacturing, repair, and refurbishment of mechanical components used in rotating equipment. This role involves machining parts to tight tolerances using manual and CNC equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and performing accurate measurements and inspections. The successful candidate will bring strong attention to detail, solid problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality in a shop-based environment.RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain an organized, clean, and safe work area while completing all required documentation for assigned tasksSet up, operate, and troubleshoot manual and CNC machining equipmentMachine, modify, and repair components to specified tolerances and finishesInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics,



and work instructions to determine machining processesInspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracyAdhere to and promote a safe work environment for yourself and co-workersKeep accurate records of work performed, measurements taken, and inspections completedWork effectively within a team setting and independently when requiredRemain adaptable to meet changing priorities and urgent work requirements to support business needsComplete all company-required documentation in a timely manner as directed by your supervisor or other leadersSupport the business through collaboration, professionalism, and positive contribution to the work environmentEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEJourneyman Machinist ticket with 5+ years of experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailExperience with precision machining, component repair, and refurbishmentProficient with manual and/or CNC lathes, mills, and related shop equipmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsExperience machining components for rotating equipment such as shafts, sleeves, bushings, and housings is an assetSkilled in the use of precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicatorsAbility to document measurements, tolerances, and inspection resultsMotivated, well organized, punctual, honest, and willing to learnStrong communication and customer service skillsFlexible with scheduling to meet business and customer needs; overtime may be requiredComply with all company policies, safety, quality, and performance standardsHave a valid class 5 driver's licenseOverhead Crane, Rigging Safety, Forklift, Zoom Boom, First Aid, and SCBA certifications are considered assets
