Shift Manager | Tim HortonsLocation: Shelburne, Ontario – Various LocationsPrimary Location: 802 Main St. E., Unit 1, Shelburne, ON L9V 2Z5Additional Shelburne Location: 301 Col Phillips Dr, Shelburne, ON L9V 3W1Wage: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, to be negotiatedHours: 30–40 hours per weekEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-TimeVacancies: 1Work Setting: On-site – Food Service Establishment / Coffee ShopStart Date: As soon as possibleAbout the OpportunityTim Hortons in Shelburne is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Manager to join our restaurant management team.This position is suited to someone with previous food service experience who is ready to take on a higher level of supervisory and operational responsibility. The Shift Manager will be responsible for leading restaurant staff during assigned shifts, coordinating day‐to‐day operations, supporting hiring and training, maintaining service and food quality standards, and ensuring the restaurant operates efficiently.The successful candidate will provide direct leadership to a team that may include food service counter attendants, food preparers, kitchen staff and food service helpers, with responsibility for supervising approximately 11–20 employees, depending on staffing levels and the shift.This is a permanent, full‐time position offering approximately 30 to 40 hours per week. Candidates must be comfortable working a versatile schedule that may include mornings, days, evenings, early mornings and weekends.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Shift Manager, you will take an active leadership role in restaurant operations. Responsibilities include:Leading and coordinating restaurant operations during assigned shiftsSupervising and coordinating the activities of food service counter attendants, food preparers,



kitchen staff and food service helpersEstablishing work methods and organizing staff to meet operational schedulesAssigning duties and monitoring employee performance throughout the shiftSupporting the hiring and onboarding of food service employeesTraining employees in job duties, food handling, sanitation, workplace safety and customer service proceduresProviding ongoing coaching and guidance to team membersRequisitioning food, kitchen supplies and other materials required for restaurant operationsMonitoring inventory levels and helping ensure appropriate stock is availableMaintaining records relating to stock, repairs, sales and wastagePreparing food order summaries and coordinating food preparation requirementsMonitoring food preparation and service to ensure established quality standards are maintainedSupervising and checking the delivery and movement of food and suppliesAddressing customer complaints and concerns professionally and working toward appropriate resolutionsHelping maintain an organized, safe and efficient work environmentSupporting management in maintaining consistent restaurant operating standardsEnsuring employees work effectively as a team during busy service periodsQualificationsEducation: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant food service experience, preferably including supervisory,



team‐lead or shift‐lead responsibilities.The successful candidate should have:Strong leadership and team supervision skillsAbility to coordinate and motivate a larger restaurant teamExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to organize work and manage competing prioritiesGood judgment when resolving operational and customer service issuesStrong attention to detailInitiative and dependabilityEffective interpersonal skillsFlexibility to work different shiftsAbility to perform effectively in a fast‐paced environment and meet tight deadlinesAbility to remain organized and professional during busy service periodsWork EnvironmentThe position involves working in a busy restaurant and coffee shop environment.
