Become an integral part of the ‘Na̱mg̱is First Nation as an Assistant Administrator in Alert Bay, BC. This full time role focuses on enhancing administrative functions and fostering community relationships.
As the Assistant Administrator, you will report directly to the Senior Administrator and play a critical role in ensuring effective governance practices. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including Council and community members, your expertise will help streamline departmental functions while honoring the traditions of the ‘Na̱mg̱is First Nation. This position calls for a leader who is not only organized but also values cultural humility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support departmental coordination and governance measures • Manage budgets and oversee financial operations • Facilitate Council and membership meetings • Lead Administration support teams' performance • Liaise with Indigenous organizations and agencies
Requirements: • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field • Minimum 3 years of relevant senior management experience • Knowledge of Indigenous governance and funding frameworks • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills • Valid BC Driver’s Licence along with travel flexibility
