We're looking for a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our growing Human Resources team. This is a remote position based in the West Coast, supporting employees and managers across Canada Gold's West Coast and U.S. operations.This is a hands-on HR role with a strong emphasis on recruitment, along with employee support, onboarding and offboarding, leave administration, HRIS management, benefits coordination, employee records, and general HR administration. You'll work closely with the Director, People and Culture and Human Resources team to help ensure our people processes are consistent, accurate, and responsive across our growing organization.You'll also serve as an important first point of contact for employees and managers, helping answer routine HR questions and ensuring more complex or sensitive matters are appropriately escalated. With Canada Gold continuing to expand, this is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys recruitment while also wanting broad exposure across the employee lifecycle.What You'll DoManage full-cycle recruitment for retail and support positions across Canada and the U.S.Create job postings, source candidates, review applications, conduct candidate screening, and coordinate interviewsPrepare approved offers and maintain accurate candidate tracking and recruitment reportingProvide day-to-day HR support to West Coast employees and managers, answering routine questions about policies, benefits, leaves, and HR processesCoordinate onboarding, orientation, probationary check-ins, and offboarding administrationApply established HR policies and help employees and managers understand routine HR processesProcess routine leave requests and maintain accurate leave recordsCoordinate accommodation and return-to-work documentation while ensuring confidentiality and timely follow-upCoordinate benefits enrolment, employee changes, and payroll inputs with payroll and benefits partnersMaintain accurate employee files, employment agreements, and HRIS recordsProcess and maintain records related to hires, transfers, compensation changes, and employee departuresRegularly review HRIS and employee information for accuracy and completenessCoordinate employee communications, training logistics, engagement activities, and workplace health and safety recordsPrepare routine HR reports related to headcount, recruitment, turnover, and attendanceIdentify opportunities to improve HR administrative processes and support HR initiativesRecognize and appropriately upscale complex employee relations,
compliance, policy, or other higher-risk matters to the Director, People and CultureThe scope above reflects the Generalist's broader responsibilities for recruitment, employee records, reporting, training logistics and H&S administration.What You BringDiploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldDemonstrated HR Generalist experience across areas such as recruitment, employee support, onboarding, leave administration, and employee recordsExperience recruiting and supporting employees across multiple locationsWorking knowledge of Canadian employment standards, privacy requirements, and general HR practicesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environmentExperience working with HRIS and applicant tracking systems, spreadsheets, and workforce reportingStrong judgment and an ability to recognize when an HR matter requires additional guidance or escalationProfessionalism and discretion when handling confidential employee informationA practical, approachable, and service-oriented approach to supporting employees and managersConsidered an asset:Professional HR designation or progress toward onePrevious experience supporting a retail or multi-location organizationExperience recruiting for both high-volume and specialized positionsExperience with U.S. recruitment or HR practicesKnowledge of U.S. employment practicesThese qualifications closely reflect the experience and technical requirements outlined in the internal job description.What We OfferFull-time positionRemote work environmentHands-on experience supporting employees and managers across multiple locationsA significant role in recruitment as Canada Gold continues to expandExposure to both Canadian and U.S.
