Job Category: OperationsRequisition Number: MANAG003356Posted : April 29, 2026Full-TimeOn-siteLocationsShowing 1 locationDescriptionRole impact:To provide management for the effective operation of a major Shopping Centre by directingand coordinating the efforts of the operations team and overseeing the services provided by external resources such as architects, consultants, contractors and suppliers so that the Centre is managed within budget and meets CF standards.What you will deliver:Manage the activities of all team members to ensure the timely achievement of department goals, within prescribed policies, procedures and standard business practices; Provide regularmotivation and mentoring to all staff to encourage ongoing professional development for succession planning purposes; Ensure that allpreventative maintenance requirements for all mechanical/electrical system and equipment is evaluated/documented and performed; Support the management of the overall health and safety program by ensuring the safe and secure operation of the facility, delivering on environmental H&S compliance requirements and provide resources and guidance so that all processes, inspections and employee training are aligned with CF policies and applicable legislation; Make sure that all programs related to the overall operation of the Centre are implemented in a timely efficient and cost effective manner by reviewing areas such as, but not limited to: preventative maintenance, environmental management, roof maintenance and rehabilitation, Health & Safety, and Marketing; Develop annual operating budget for all categories of expense and recovery by conducting thorough studies of all previous years' budget, repairs and upgrades to help CF to stay leaders within the market; Monitor operational expenses on a monthly basis by reviewing actual performance against budgeted and conduct a monthly variance analysis to resolve for variances; Ensure propertyoperations are well organized and competently staffed by administering VisionFM schedules for staff and contractors to meet customers needs effectively and efficiently; Facilitate and coordinate ongoing,



open communications with tenants to understand and address their operational concerns in order to ensure their needs are being met and the organizations assets are maintained appropriately; Respond to after hour's emergency calls by going to the site and taking all actions required to ensure all emergency procedures are followed and the security of personnel and the property is maintained; Handle service Contract negotiations.What your strengths are:A excellent leader with a positive demeanor and strong interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent mechanical/electrical abilitiesExcellent analytical and decision making skillsAble to work efficiently under pressure with proven skills in implementing and measuring department performance indicatorsOrganized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize for completionDedicated professional willing to respond to emergenciesWhat you need to succeed:B.Eng or equivalentSMA (BOMA) or Building Environmental Systems ICFM (Certified Facilities Manager) certification is an assetEnrolment in FMA or RPA or Shopping Centre Managers Course or equivalentMinimum 10 years experience in Physical Operations management with at least 7 years supervisory/management experience preferably in a mixed use environmentThorough knowledge of: general maintenance procedures, budgeting principles, electrical and practical theory, new technologies, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems, management principles, budgeting principlesRecent experience managing in a unionized environment including solid understanding of collective bargainingExcellent knowledge Building Automation Systems (Johnson Controls), and Preventative Maintenance softwareGeneral Functional Knowledge of Environmental Hazards and Green (LEEDS) InitiativesWhy you should join us:At Cadillac Fairview we have been transforming communities for over 50 years. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range.
