We currently have an opening for the following position:Machinist (Evening Shift)Responsibilities & Duties:Machinists are responsible to machine parts to customer specifications.Prepare and adjust production machineryAssemble and fit components and machine parts to close toleranceConfirm dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instrumentsPrepare and run CNC lathe and mill as requiredOperate a variety of equipment and machinesPerform visual inspections to consistently meet all quality specifications and standards in productionRead, understand and follow drawings, specifications, blueprints and assembly instructionsReview work order and follow work instructions, procedures and checklists to ensure that materials and equipment needed for production are ready and the work area is preparedMeet all production schedules and deadlinesWork with the supervisor to resolve any technical, productivity, safety or schedule problemsPerform general shop duties as assigned by the supervisorWork safely and efficiently,



with minimal wasteMaintain equipment and keep maintenance recordsReport broken or damaged machinery promptlyWear and use appropriate safety equipmentOther:Travel as required.Adhere to all environmental, health and safety regulations and follow the environmental and quality management systems.Other duties as assigned.Experience:Two plus years related experience working in a high-volume production facilityEducation / Professional Certification:A Mechanical Technician – Toolmaking diploma or comparable educationGeneral Machinist certificationMust have, or be eligible for, all current applicable certificationsSkills:Robust attention to detailExcellent work ethic and proven dependabilityOutstanding enthusiasm and motivationProven ability to work well within a team environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervisionCapable of performing in a high-volume production facilityDEW is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.DEW strives to create a respectful, accessible and inclusive work environment.
