The Transport Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing & optimizing the transportation processes to ensure productive on-time deliveries and to resolve potential delays as they arise. This role involves shipment follow-up and tracking on a weekly basis, operational issue resolution, first level escalation management, and collaboration with key stakeholders such as carriers, distribution centres, and brand partners.Main ResponsibilitiesOperational escalations: Act as the first level of escalation for transport-related operational issues, ensuring swift resolution.Service provider & DC meetings: Conduct regular operational meetings with carriers and distribution centers to align on performance and expectations.Route management: Maintain and optimize transportation routes using SAP tables to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Allocation management: Manage the allocation of shipments to carriers and routes to balance cost, service level, and operational constraints.Claims management & LSO: Handle transport-related claims, liaise with service providers, and ensure compliance with legal and service obligations.Exception management: manage exceptions in shipping and account set-up with parcel and freight carriers, orchestrate the in- and external communicationManage Inbound transport operations and quality of serviceShipment Follow-Up: Monitor and track shipments on a weekly basis to ensure on-time delivery and resolve potential delays.Ensure accurate Shipment tracking/reportingManage the inbound shipments and coordinate with local carriers for accurate arrival timesCollaborate with DC's and ensure "as planned" shipment executionMonitor and improve service agreements as well as lead-times, and audit them based on SLA'sManage the escalation process for service failures to ensure corrective actions are in placeDirect shipments: Oversee and coordinate direct shipments from factories to customers,
