This permanent, full-time opportunity is distributed across our five modern Edmonton locations.We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented professional who brings a caring and compassionate approach to patient care. A positive attitude and a strong commitment to professional excellence are essential for success in this roleResponsibilities & DutiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Prepare patients for dental examinations and assist the Orthodontist/Dentist during examinations and treatmentsTaking precise diagnostic records, including digital X-rays, intraoral scans,



and clinical photographsPrepare teeth for bonding and assist with the placement and removal of orthodontic appliancesPlace and remove orthodontic archwires, ligatures and transparent attachmentsEducated patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care and complianceManage orthodontic emergencies, including trimming long wires and comforting patientsAssist the Pediatric Dentistry team as neededSterilize and maintain instruments and equipmentAdditional duties may be assigned as requiredEducation and CertificationsThe successful candidate will meet the following education and credential requirements:Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program is a requirementActive registration and certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Alberta is a requirementSuccessful completion of the Orthodontic Module is a requirementCurrent CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationSuccessful completion of the Scaling Module is an assetSkills & ExperienceWe are looking for a professional who demonstrates the following clinical and interpersonal skills:Proficient in English, both written and verbalComputer proficient; able to learn new software quickly.
