Discovery has an experienced team, dedicated to being a highly profitable producer of gold and silver that generates superior returns, delivers substantial social-economic benefits and meets the highest environmental standards.The PositionThe Project Field Coordinator supports capital project execution and oversees project construction and contract procedures compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesManagement of pre-construction coordination meetings between contractors and site operations, field construction activities as owners representative, including equipment inspections, permitting, contractor management, and other associated contract documentsCoordinates all activity related to multi discipline construction and commissioning by contract personnel on designated projects, including COGNIBOX management system training requirementsApply and ensure compliance with the requirements of the Ontario Occupational Heath and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects and Mines and Mining PlantsProvide construction coordination and supervisory services, in consultation with the Project Manager,



to ensure projects meet HSEC and site policy requirementsPerform field inspections at required project sites and document findings in order to monitor construction quality and compliance and have a project historyReport deficiencies and complete incident investigationsProvide Project Engineers with support with project planning and development of scopes of workProduce Cost Tracking reports for invoice approvalsProvide assistance with drawing and constructability reviews, cost estimates, schedules, equipment evaluation, manpower assessment, and other engineering design and construction support functionsProvide assistance with contract administration functionsSkills And QualificationsEngineering Degree or Diploma; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.Minimum 10 years relevant industry experience, preferably past experience in milling operations and/or large scale construction projects.Computer skills with experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project)The ability to work well under pressure, and adapt to changing conditions in order to meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work both independently and as part of a teamCompensation And BenefitsHealth, Dental, Life, AD&D, Disability, Healthcare and Wellness Spending Accounts, Virtual Care and Employee and Family Assistance Program; Company contributions and matching into a Defined Contribution Pension Plan; andAnnual compensation of CAD$91,000 to CAD$114,000.Additional InformationThis posting is for an existing vacancy at Discovery's Kidd Operations.We thank all candidates in advance.
