Purpose of the Position The Industrial Managing Consultant will be responsible for managing the grow and strategy of new retained search business while overseeing the execution and delivery process for clients. In this role, the Managing Consultant will build a trusted advisor relationship with clients which includes, understanding their business, culture, and talent acquisition needs; sourcing, screening, and managing candidates through the interview process; and as the subject matter expert, provide consultative guidance and advice on recruitment best practices. This role will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to provide additional recruitment services to existing and new clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with hiring managers to scope search project by obtaining information that clearly defines the specifics of the job including the responsibilities, requirements, compensation, company culture, etc.
- Lead and develop comprehensive targeted recruitment strategies, in tandem with Associates and Senior Associates, for qualified candidates via heavy cold calling and direct sourcing, database mining, client referrals, local advertising, networking, professional communities, etc.
- Effectively evaluate candidate qualifications by conducting thorough interviews.




- Successfully communicate each candidate’s experience and qualifications for the opportunity and advise client on candidate background, expertise, and career potential.
- Manage and negotiate both the selection and offer process including but not limited to, candidate compensation, benefits, relocation, and pre-close of the candidate.
- Manage recruitment life cycle from search kick-off through closure to ensure “time to fill” goals are achieved.
- Develop, drive, and manage strong business relationships with clients to ensure successful placements and guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Drive new business with existing customers and prospects and develop relationships with Korn/Ferry Executive Search by working with them to grow business with key customer accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with candidates by providing superior candidate care including clearly defining position requirements and recruiting process, timely updates on progress, interview preparation and debriefing.
- Work closely with Project Coordinator to ensure interviews are scheduled and confirmed in a timely manner, applicant tracking system compliance and that all HR and/or recruiting-related correspondence is sent to candidates.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of business search consulting experience within Industrial sectors such as manufacturing, supply chain, oil and gas, mining and materials, chemical, agriculture, energy and real estate sectorw would be ideal with Director Level to SVP leadership searches working for a retained search firm, boutique, blend of in-house TA and agency search experience.
- Ideal candidate will work hybrid in our Vancouver office as needed
- 5+years of experience as a full life-cycle recruiter with experience to include cold calling, developing search strategies and client/candidate management with full desk or 360 desk executive recruiter.
- New Business development and origination of new business is a must / Account management experience.




- Strong business acumen and ability to quickly learn about different business environments and cultures by asking the right questions.
- Consultative mindset and ability to anticipate client needs.
- Candidate sourcing through traditional and creative channels.
- Must be able to conduct in-depth interviews and evaluate candidate profiles.
- Exceptional customer service focus, including attention to producing quality results.
- Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to multi-task and manage various recruitment projects simultaneously.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-initiative along with the ability to respond quickly to client requests.
- Ability to be an effective team member and, as needed, to handle project leadership responsibility.
- Willing and able to adapt to new processes and effectively deal with change.
- PC proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel and Outlook.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.

Salary range represents the compensation Korn Ferry expects to pay to a candidate with the requirements for the job posted.
