Ellos HR Solutions is recruiting an experienced Internal Audit Manager for a major global Tier 1 automotive organization.

This is a senior corporate opportunity with exposure across a complex international business operating more than 50 locations worldwide .

We are particularly interested in professionals who developed a strong foundation in public accounting and financial audit , including candidates who progressed to Manager or Senior Manager within a Big 4 or established accounting firm , as well as those who later transitioned into industry.

? THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Chief Internal Auditor , you will take ownership of important audit assignments across the organization and work directly with leaders throughout the business.

Rather than simply identifying issues, this position requires someone who can understand how the business operates, connect operational activities to financial results, and help management develop practical solutions.

You will

? Take ownership of key audit assignments across different areas of the organization

? Examine financial processes and controls to identify risks, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement

? Turn audit findings into practical recommendations that business leaders can implement

? Work directly with management to discuss findings, priorities and appropriate next steps

? Translate complex audit work into clear reports for leadership

? Follow up on agreed actions to ensure improvements continue moving forward

? Guide audit teams through planning, fieldwork and completion of individual assignments

? Review audit documentation and ensure work is completed to the appropriate internal standards

? Contribute to the broader annual audit program and work alongside external auditors when required

? Support special reviews and investigations as situations arise





? Build strong working relationships across Finance, Operations and corporate leadership

? THE BACKGROUND WE’RE LOOKING FOR

✅ Approximately 8 + years of progressive audit experience

✅ At least 3 years in a management capacity

✅ Solid financial audit and accounting foundation

✅ CPA or CIA designation is required

✅ Big 4 or established public accounting firm experience is highly desirable

✅ Experience reaching Manager or Senior Manager level in public accounting would be particularly relevant

✅ Candidates who began their careers in public accounting before moving into a corporate Internal Audit environment are also strongly aligned

✅ Strong understanding of financial controls, risk, audit methodology and financial reporting

✅ Comfortable interacting with senior management and challenging existing processes when appropriate

✅ Previous exposure to a large, multinational or manufacturing organization is an asset

✈️ TRAVEL

This is not a desk-only corporate audit position.

Travel is required, primarily throughout Canada and the United States , with occasional international assignments. The successful candidate should be comfortable spending time at manufacturing operations and understanding what happens beyond the financial statements.
