Position SummaryJOB DESCRIPTIONReporting to the Logistics Department, Truck Drivers are responsible for the pick-up of meat by-products and waste on a variety of routes and shifts. This position is for a Truck Driver who can be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts. We are looking for drivers with a passion for driving and a commitment to the workplace to join our growing team!Schedule of work: Tuesday- Saturday, 10 to 12 hours per dayKey ResponsibiitiesRequired at times to drive out-of-town routes into the Greater Toronto Area, including TorontoEvening shifts along with weekend work will be required depending on weekly route scheduling.Accurate completion and submission of all required paperwork.Conduct all interactions with customers and suppliers in a respectful, professional, and service oriented manner.Required to formally report any concerns or customer service-related issues.Responsible for following all Company and Health and Safety rules and for communicating all reportable incidents.Responsible to ensure that both tractors and trailers are maintained in a clean and presentable condition.Responsible for ensuring safe driving operations at all times.Responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with ad-hoc issues that may arise.Drivers will be scheduled for AZ and DZ routes.This is only a summary of the primary responsibilities and may be amended as necessary based on the needs of the business.Experience/QualificationsValid AZ LicenseClean driving recordCustomer service orientedFamiliarity driving within the Province of OntarioWorking knowledge and adherence to HTA and MTO applicable legislationFlexible and willing to work overtime as requiredTeam oriented and willing to assist with all routesTasks will include some physical demands such as repetitive pulling, pushing, lifting etc.Ability to complete physical requirements is requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the AODA, ESA, OHSA and other federal, and provincial standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standardsAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the AODA, ESA, OHSA and other federal, and provincial standardsAbility to keep up with physically demanding tasks such as repetitive bending, pulling, pushing, lifting etc.Sitting for long stretches at a time (up to 3 hours)Must be able to alternate between walking, standing and moving for periods of time.Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbsMust be able to climb onto truck trailers, climb truck ladders as required and stretch and view difficult areasWe OfferAZ Driver rate: $31.87 plus overtime after 40 hoursDZ Driver Rate: $30.84 Plus overtime after 40 hoursUniforms providedSafety shoe/boot programFull Benefits covered by the company-Life Insurance, Disability, Employee Assistance Program and a Flexible Health and Dental Benefit PlanDefined Contribution Pension PlanEducational Assistance Programs, Scholarship Programs,
