Role Description The Journalist at AKIJ Feed will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing news articles, features, and press materials related to the livestock and aquaculture sectors. Day-to-day activities include conducting interviews with internal experts and external stakeholders, gathering data from industry sources, and producing clear, accurate, and engaging content for print, digital, and broadcast channels.

The Journalist will collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging, support media relations, and contribute to content planning for campaigns and corporate communications.



This is a full time hybrid role based in Division No. 6, SK, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Writing and News Writing skills for creating clear, accurate, and engaging journalistic content.
- Candidates should possess Press Releases skills to develop professional, timely, and impactful corporate communications.
- Candidates should possess solid Research skills to gather, verify, and interpret information from diverse sources.
- Candidates should possess Broadcasting skills to support audio or video news segments and media appearances.
- Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and channels.
- Experience in agriculture, livestock, aquaculture, or related fields is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting and adapt to evolving editorial and organizational priorities.
