Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/woman Boilermaker to join our dynamic industrial maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining boilers, pressure vessels, and related equipment across manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of critical plant systems.

Duties

- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to guide fabrication and repairs of boilers and pressure vessels
- Assemble, install, weld, and maintain boiler systems using various welding techniques including arc, MIG, and TIG welding
- Perform layout of shells, nozzles and internal and external attachments
- Assess and prepare rigging and lifting equipment
- Operate overhead cranes
- Safely use tools and equipment as per ALCO Safe Work Procedures and Practices

Requirements

- Proven experience as a journeyman/woman boilermaker with a valid certification or license in the trade
- Strong mechanical knowledge of boiler systems, pressure vessels, piping, valves, and related equipment
- Proficiency in welding techniques such as arc, MIG, TIG; ability to work with various metals and materials
- Experience working with schematics, technical drawings, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HVAC systems, and low voltage electrical wiring
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation
- Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable for troubleshooting electrical controls and automation systems
- Ability to read and understand schematics, technical manuals,



and engineering diagrams fluently in English
- Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently
- Strong safety awareness with knowledge of industry standards related to boiler operation and maintenance
- Customer service mindset with effective communication skills for collaborating across teams

Physical Requirements · Ability to perform job duties that may require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods

· Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including keyboarding, data entry and document handling

· Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, reach and stretch as required to perform job duties

· Ability to lift, carry, push or pull items 30lbs in accordance with safe work practices

· Ability to work in various environments (office, site, warehouse, etc.,) as required by the role

· Ability to operate standard office equipment or role-specific tools safely

· Ability to work regular work hours and occasional overtime, as required
