We are seeking a motivated Junior/Intermediate Structural Engineer with a minimum of 2 years experience in structural engineering to provide engineering and technical support for the design and manufacture of metal-plate-connected wood trusses and engineered wood products (EWP), including LVL, glulam, and wood I-joists.
The engineer must understand the structural principles behind these designs and be able to interpret software results, recognize unusual conditions, and apply engineering judgement where standard design procedures are insufficient.
The position includes supporting designers, reviewing complex conditions, developing repairs and reinforcement details, and resolving technical issues arising during design, manufacturing, and construction.
Previous wood truss or EWP experience is an asset but is not required. Training in MiTek software, wood engineering, applicable codes and standards, and company procedures will be provided.
Pay: $75,000.00-$88,408.32 per year
