Accel Property Group
Moncton
Accel Property Group is a Moncton-based real estate investment, development, construction, and property management company. We own and operate a growing portfolio of multi-family, self-storage facilities, and commercial properties across New Brunswick, and we build custom homes and new buildings for our own portfolio and for clients.
The Junior Project Manager will work closely with ownership and our site team to keep every project on schedule, on budget, and built to a high standard.
The Role
We’re looking for an organized, motivated Junior Project Manager to join our construction team. You’ll support custom home and new building projects from pre-construction through to occupancy and handover, covering scheduling, budgets, procurement, trade coordination, permits, and client communication, with regular reporting to ownership.
Client communication is a core part of this role. Our clients should never have to chase us for an update: you’ll keep them informed proactively and regularly, so they always know where their project stands and what’s coming next.
Construction doesn’t always keep office hours. This role splits time between the office and active job sites, and offers a flexible schedule so you can adjust your workday around early site visits, inspections, and deliveries.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Build and maintain project schedules for custom homes and new buildings, from site prep through occupancy
- Track milestones, flag delays early, and coordinate recovery plans with the site supervisor and ownership
- Run weekly project meetings and keep action items and minutes up to date
Budgets, Procurement & Cost Tracking
- Prepare and track project budgets, purchase orders, and cost-to-complete reports
- Obtain and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors; help prepare scopes of work
- Review invoices, holdbacks, and change orders against contracts and budgets
Trades & Site Coordination
- Schedule subcontractors, material deliveries, and equipment to keep work moving on site
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
- Coordinate deficiency lists and ensure items are closed out before handover
Permits, Compliance & Documentation
- Coordinate building permits, municipal approvals, and inspections
- Ensure work meets the National Building Code as adopted in New Brunswick and WorkSafeNB requirements
- Maintain organized project files: drawings, RFIs, submittals, contracts, warranties, and as-builts
Client Communication
- Act as the main day-to-day point of contact for custom home and building clients from contract signing to handover
- Provide proactive client updates every 1–3 days by phone, email, or text, with progress photos where helpful
- Prepare and send a weekly progress report to each client covering work completed, the upcoming schedule, decisions needed, and any changes to budget or timeline
- Schedule and lead client site visits at key milestones (e.g., foundation, framing, pre-drywall, and final walkthrough)
- Guide clients through selections, change orders, and approvals, with clear deadlines so decisions don’t hold up the schedule
- Flag issues or delays to clients early, with a clear plan, and respond to client inquiries within one business day
Reporting to Ownership
- Provide ownership with regular progress reporting (schedule, budget, risks, client feedback, and open items)
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of project coordination experience in residential or commercial construction
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Working knowledge of the building permit and inspection process in the Greater Moncton area
- Experience with scheduling or project-management software considered an asset
- Bilingual considered an asset
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent client-facing communication skills, written and verbal; comfortable delivering both good news and bad news clearly and professionally
- Proactive, independent, and solutions-oriented
- Valid NB driver’s license and reliable vehicle
If you’re a driven construction professional looking to join a fast-growing team at an exciting time, we’d love to hear from you! Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
