Kitchen Helper / Kitchen Assistant – Full-Time / Part-Time

Leuty’s on Queen is looking for reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helpers / Kitchen Assistants to join our opening kitchen team.

This is a hands-on support role that includes both dishwashing and kitchen prep. We are looking for team members who are willing to help wherever needed and grow their kitchen skills over time.

Responsibilities

- Operate the commercial dishwasher and maintain a clean, organized dish area
- Wash and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Assist cooks with basic food preparation
- Wash, peel, cut, and portion vegetables and other ingredients
- Assist with portioning and simple prep as trained
- Put away deliveries and maintain organized storage areas
- Follow proper labelling, dating, FIFO, and food-safety procedures
- Assist with garbage, recycling, floors, and general kitchen cleaning
- Keep work areas clean and organized throughout the shift
- Support cooks and kitchen leadership during busy service
- Help with opening and closing duties as required

What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen, dishwasher,



or prep experience is an asset but not required
- Willingness to learn basic kitchen prep and knife skills
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when required
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Food Handler Certification is an asset

Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Morning, evening, and closing shifts available
- Weekend availability is strongly preferred
- Gratuities are provided in addition to the hourly wage
- Prospect to learn additional prep and kitchen skills and grow within the team

We are looking for people who take pride in keeping the kitchen organized, support their teammates, and are interested in learning and developing within a professional kitchen. Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
