Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Charge Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will oversee laboratory operations, ensure accurate processing of specimens, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory experience, excellent data analysis skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Required Qualifications:

- Must have an active registration in good standing with CMLTO.
- Maintains continuing education yearly as required by the CMLTO.
- Must meet all qualifications as per Regulation 845 of the Public Health Act 1 (c) and 2 (a, b, c, d, e).
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in a hospital setting.

- Ability to provide technical bench coverage and support routine laboratory operations as required
- Proven leadership abilities
- Ability to effectively liaise with physicians, health care providers, and staff at SJGHEL to ensure optimal patient flow

Assets:

- Quality Management courses are an asset.
- Advanced certification in specialized areas such as hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, or molecular diagnostics
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Working knowledge software applications
- Excellent attendance record (records will be reviewed)

Perks/Schedule:

- To support current operational requirements, the successful incumbent is expected to work Monday to Friday for the duration of this temporary assignment.
