We are seeking a dependable Labourer/Swamper to join our team at the Pacifica Steel Millet Pipe yard.

Responsibilities

- Assist with loading and unloading pipe / steel, helping our operators guide material onto trucks and trailers and securing with dunnage / wedges.
- Use Oxy / Acetylene torches and bevelers to cut steel to length.
- Operate various power tools and hand tools when needed
- Keep work area tidy and organized
- Work well with others, good communication.
- Work around heavy equipment and operate all tools in a safe manner.

Experience

- No experience necessary,



willing to teach and train the right candidate that wants to work towards a welding apprenticeship or get their foot in the door with trades work.
- Familiarity with hand tools / power tools / welding tools considered an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs safely.
- Any time spent working around heavy equipment considered an asset

Pay: $25.90 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 70.0 per week
