Job Number: 56102The Muttart Conservatory preserves and grows one of Canada's largest botanical collections and shares knowledge and enthusiasm for nature year round with its visitors. They are also responsible for growing the annual flowers for the City of Edmonton. As a Labourer II, you will work under the guidance, coaching and mentorship of a Facility Grower to:What will you do?Perform seasonal tasks, including transplanting, planting, stocking, seeding, watering, mixing soils, and filling flats and pots with soilMaintain the cleanliness of the work stations and greenhousesOperate equipment for production as required, including seeder machine, bale buster, pallet jack and punchable transplant machineAssist with district plant pick-upsWork with Grower team to complete show change oversFulfilling online plant sale orders by collaborating with the teamKnowledge and practice of safe work ethicOther duties as requiredQualifications:Completion of Grade 10Minimum of 1 year of experience and knowledge of how to maintain plant healthAsset:Some horticultural course workSkills required for success:Knowledge of greenhouse principlesAbility to keep up in a fast paced and time sensitive environmentDemonstrated ability to manage time and multitask activities effectivelyAbility to provide quality customer service to all levels of the public and the organizationStrength, dexterity,
