Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art CNC laser cutting equipment to produce precise metal components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production while adhering to safety standards and technical specifications. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to process various metal materials according to detailed blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine cutting parameters
- Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices for quality inspection and verification of finished parts
- Assist with CNC programming adjustments to improve efficiency and accuracy of cuts
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to maintain high standards
- Support assembly processes as needed, ensuring parts meet all mechanical and dimensional requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar manufacturing equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues quickly
- Familiarity with CNC programming, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and welding processes is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances
- Competence in using calipers, hand tools, and conducting quality inspections
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation including crane and forklift operation certification is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills for teamwork and documentation
