To support this momentum, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Reporting to the CFO, this role offers an ambitious accounting qualified the opportunity to broaden their business acumen, gain exposure across multiple operating companies, and continue developing toward future leadership opportunities within the organization.Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership, the Senior Accountant will contribute beyond traditional accounting responsibilities, helping translate financial information into meaningful insights that support operational and strategic decision-making across the business.What you'll do:Assist with monthly financial reporting, account reconciliations, and year-end processesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activitiesMonitor operational and financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-makingAssist with inventory accounting and reporting across multiple business unitsParticipate in process improvement initiatives to strengthen reporting accuracy, efficiency,



and consistencySupport strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and proceduresCollaborate with business leaders to explain financial information and provide insight into operational performanceContribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as the organization continues to grow and evolveThe ideal candidate will possess:A minimum of five years of progressive accounting experienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting and business management systemsThe ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholdersA proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to take ownership of responsibilitiesExperience within inventory, retail, distribution, multi-location, or similarly complex operating environments would be considered an assetA CPA designation or active pursuit of the designation would be considered an asset but is not requiredThis is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to be close to the business and continue developing beyond traditional accounting.
