Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain a variety of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. Your mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CNC programming, and ability to read blueprints will be essential in delivering high-quality components efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and blueprints.
- Program CNC equipment utilizing languages like Mazatrol and Fanuc to ensure accurate machining operations.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain machine tools by performing regular cleaning, calibration, and minor repairs; utilize power tools and welding equipment as needed for adjustments.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve efficiency across machining processes.
- Assist with assembly tasks when required,



ensuring parts are correctly assembled according to specifications.
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling within the manufacturing area.
- Document production activities accurately in logs and reports for quality control purposes.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes; familiarity with Mazatrol and Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files using SolidWorks or similar software.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances essential for precise machining.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime during production runs.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and welding equipment for machine setup and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of manufacturing best practices including lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
