Role Description The Maintenance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Hyatt Regency Vancouver in Canada. This role oversees the day-to-day operation of the hotel’s maintenance department, ensuring all building systems, equipment, and guest areas are safe, functional, and well-presented.

Responsibilities include planning and supervising preventive maintenance programs, coordinating and performing repairs, monitoring contractors and vendors, and maintaining compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.

The Maintenance

Manager leads and schedules the maintenance team, prioritizes work orders, manages inventory of tools and supplies,



and collaborates with other departments to support smooth hotel operations and positive guest experiences.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills and experience leading maintenance teams or similar operational staff.
- Candidates should possess equipment maintenance skills, including troubleshooting, basic diagnostics, and coordination of repairs for building systems and hotel equipment.
- Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills, including planning, scheduling, and implementing routine inspections and servicing of facilities and systems.
- Candidates should possess maintenance management skills, including work order management, vendor coordination, budgeting support, and documentation of maintenance activities.
- Candidates should possess maintenance and repair skills applicable to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems commonly found in large hotel properties.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations, experience in hospitality or commercial facilities, solid communication and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with maintenance management software.
- A relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent practical experience in building or facilities maintenance is preferred.
