Job Summary: We are looking for a full time maintenance technician. Weekend and on-call availability will be considered an asset. Wage will be decided during an interview based on your experience and skill. Responsible for completing preventive maintenance on all hotel equipment to ensure our hotel premises are protected, functional and a zero defect environment for guests and employees alike.

Responsible to meet health and safety standards in accordance with the property policies and procedures, while ensuring that municipal and provincial codes are adhered to. Familiarity with plastering and painting, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC systems, pool and hot tubs maintenance, lawn care/yard work, snow removal and great customer service is an asset. Need to be organized and proactive.

Job Duties:

· To offer preventive maintenance and repairs to all areas of the hotel, including its exterior, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, electrical, floors, wall, furniture, pool and hot tub.

· To arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities (ex.: pool, breakfast area, parking, patio, etc.)

· To maintain a preventive maintenance logs and keep details recorded.

· To organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests.

· To act fast to resolve emergency issues (ex.: power outages)

· To complete hotel room and building repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, lights bulbs, patching, painting, wall paper repair, plumbing, lawn care, plowing snow, ceramic repair, pool care and other general facility upkeep. Performs repairs on toilets, sinks, laundry facilities, and other hotel property.

· To troubleshoot and perform repairs on heating, cooling and ventilation systems, on electrical systems, and on appliances.





· To check on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits, including refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems.

· To maintain safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the hotel, grounds, pool and fitness area.

· To inspect hotel regularly to ensure a safe and attractive environment for guests and employees and to ensure the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards.

· To find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy.

· To keep all mechanical, electrical, and structural blueprints up to date.

· To properly maintain tools, workspaces, and equipment’s.

· To maintain a clean and organized work area.

· To work closely with the owners, General Manager, and all other managers of the hotel.

· To perform other duties as assigned.
