Exact Match is a strategic recruitment partner focused on connecting experiencedProfessions with exceptional employers across Canada and the USA.Our client, a Canadian Equipment Manufacturer, is looking to hire an experienced Professional Mechanical Engineer to join their team in the West GTA.We are looking for a licensed professional engineer (PEng) with experience designing and developing products with an airflow component.ResponsibilitiesMeet with clients to discuss product modifications, confirm product specifications and expectationsCollaborate with the R&D team to support new product development initiativesContribute on continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing existing designs for better efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and productivityPerform structural analyses to ensure the mechanical integrity, reliability and safety of system componentsConduct loss calculations to design productive tubing and fitting layout systemsCreate general arrangement (GA) drawings, P&ID, GA exploded views, and detail assembly instructions to support manufacturing and assemblySelect appropriate materials and components based on system specificationsEnsure all designs meet relevant industry standards and certificationsTake ownership of assigned projects,



ensuring internal processes are followed and project timeline is managed effectivelyCoordinate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and source system componentsWork closely with internal teams, including production and supply chain, to ensure smooth product developmentSupport product testing, validation, and troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with performance standards and regulatory requirementsProvide technical support to customers, as well as internal production and sales teamsQualificationsLicensed Professional Engineer (Peng) with a degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design of products with an airflow componentResponsibility for duct loss and CFM calculationsExperience with blowers, HVAC systems, vacuums, air piping or related equipment and systemsExperience with positive displacement pumpsProficiency in SolidWorksStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProject management experience or training would be an assetExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesPlease note, this is an in person position, with potential for hybrid ( 4 days / wk on site), once probationary period has been successfully completed.
