Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced cafe manager for WildHearts Cafe.

Skills

- Ability to lead, train, schedule and manage a team
- Customer service skills, including the ability to handle conflict resolution professionally and maintain customer satisfaction
- Clear communication with employees and staff
- Financial acumen, including familiarity with popular bookkeeping programs
- Experience with point of sale (POS) systems and reporting procedures
- Awareness of health and safety regulations
- Excellent knowledge of the coffee industry, including individual products and processing techniques
- Ability to train staff and monitor their skills to offer excellent customer service as they, prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages using standard recipes and equipment. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS and cash handling procedures. Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including barista preparation station and dining spaces. Follow food safety and food handling guidelines to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Manage time and staff schedules effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.




- Liaise with owners to ensure operations are optimal at all times.
- Ability to provide social media posts is an asset.
- Protected food handling certificate is an asset.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a cafe manager is required.
- One-day off-site unpaid training is required for specialized coffee services within first 3 months of employment.
- Knowledge of POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize staff tasks during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, weekends or evenings as needed.
- Ability to maintain staff morale and encourage staff to be part of creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while honing their skills in food service and customer interaction!

Pay: From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
