Marketing Generalist

We’re looking for a Marketing Generalist to join our marketing department. This role is full-time and in person at our office in Winnipeg.

This is an intermediate role for someone who is a strong writer and editor, has a broad understanding of marketing, is exceptionally organized, and is comfortable working directly with clients.

Vincent Design Inc. is a full-service Indigenous-led marketing and creative agency based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. For nearly 20 years, we've partnered with organizations whose work has meaningful community and public impact, including Indigenous Nations and organizations, government and public sector organizations, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, and non-profits. Through strategy, storytelling and design, we help our partners uncover and express who they are, where they're going, and why it matters to the people they serve.

What You’ll Do

- Write website copy, social media posts, emails, ads, blogs, campaign materials, and other marketing content based on a brief.
- Review and edit copy for grammar, spelling, clarity, tone, consistency, and brand guidelines.
- Take part in discovery meetings and stakeholder interviews. Research clients, audiences, competitors, and marketing channels to help shape recommendations.
- Create creative briefs and marketing strategies using agency templates and processes, with support from the senior strategy manager when needed.
- Plan and manage marketing projects from kickoff to delivery. Create schedules, assign tasks, track deadlines, and keep the team on track.
- Brief design and dev on the strategy and review work to make sure it includes client feedback and follows the approved brief or strategy.
- Communicate with clients, explain recommendations, gather feedback, and keep projects moving.
- Create and present client presentations, reports, and recommendations.

What We’re Looking For You’ll be a strong fit if you have:





- 2 to 4 years of experience in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field. Agency experience is an asset.
- A degree or diploma in marketing, business, communications, Creative Communications, advertising, digital marketing, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A broad understanding of marketing fundamentals, including audiences, positioning, messaging, marketing channels, campaigns, content, and measurement.
- Experience writing marketing content for different audiences, brands, and channels.
- Experience coordinating projects and working across different teams.
- Comfortable working directly with clients and presenting ideas, recommendations, or work.
- Able to gather information, identify what matters, and turn it into explicit, practical marketing and creative recommendations.
