Legacy Kitchens
Calgary
Legacy Kitchens Group is rebuilding its marketing function from the ground up. We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to take ownership of marketing strategy and execution across our Canadian brands, Legacy Kitchens and Cabinet Solutions Canada, while working closely with our Canadian digital agency partner.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on work. You’ll set direction, manage the agency relationship, and personally drive social media, content, and AI-enabled marketing as the function grows. Success in this role could lead to responsibility for marketing across both our Canadian and US operations.
What you’ll do
Set direction and measure results
- Develop and own the annual marketing strategy and plan for both Canadian brands, including goals, target customer segments, and messaging.
- Track cost per lead and other key measures across channels. Recommend where to reduce or increase spending, and report your findings to leadership regularly.
- Manage the marketing budget across the agency retainer, paid media, tools, and content production, and report on spending and results.
- Partner with sales leadership to define and improve the marketing-to-sales pipeline, including lead volume and quality targets.
Build the brands and create demand
- Maintain distinct positioning for each brand while staying consistent with the broader Legacy Kitchens Group identity. Keep an eye on competitor activity and opportunities to stand out.
- Define social media strategy and content direction. Plan and manage paid social campaigns with a focus on measurable results, briefing and directing content execution.
- Manage email campaigns, newsletters, and website stories to keep our digital presence fresh and engaging.
- Plan and help drive attendance at public-facing events, such as interior designer lunch-and-learns, that support lead generation and referral relationships.
- Coordinate finished-project photography and video shoots with our freelance photographer/videographer.
- Manage the design and ordering of branded materials, such as business cards, presentation folders, and swag, ensuring they are accurate and on brand.
Lead digital work and external partners
- Serve as the primary internal contact for our Canadian digital agency. Review deliverables, hold the agency accountable to its scope and performance measures, and connect its website, SEO, and campaign work to business results. As you build expertise, there may be an opportunity to take on more direct responsibility for paid media.
- Evaluate our custom-built website platform against alternatives, including a possible move to a CMS such as WordPress. Recommend a direction and oversee execution with our developer and agency, including structured data, SEO, and content that supports visibility in traditional and AI-driven search.
- Identify practical ways to use AI tools for content creation, research, campaign improvement, and visibility in AI-driven search, while protecting our brand voice and applying sound judgment.
Help shape what comes next
- Lay the strategic groundwork for eventually extending marketing coverage to our US brands.
What you bring
- A genuine interest in design, home renovation, or the kitchen and cabinetry industry. This matters to us; we’re looking for someone who cares about the product, not just the marketing mechanics.
- At least five years of marketing experience that includes both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Experience managing external agencies or vendors.
- Experience developing social media strategy and running paid social campaigns, with a focus on results rather than follower counts alone.
- A numbers-driven approach and the judgment to shift spending based on what is working.
- A strong eye for copy, creative, and visual content, including work produced by others.
- Comfort creating basic branded materials in tools such as Canva and working with print vendors to deliver them accurately.
- Working knowledge of AI marketing tools and an interest in keeping your skills current.
- The ability to work independently and build a marketing function without an existing internal marketing team.
