Role OverviewJourneyperson Heavy Equipment Technician, reporting to the Fleet Manager, is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet including waste disposal on highway trucks, passenger vehicles, and equipment.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the safe, efficient, and effective maintenance of the vehicles and equipment.Perform vehicle inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on all company vehicles as required.Provide insight on the set up of shop facility to provide more efficient service to our fleet.Thoroughly complete work orders to support internally tracking maintenance and parts inventories in accordance with company, provincial and federal requirements.Perform diagnostics & repair to engine and associated systems, emissions systems, drive systems, brake systems, electrical systems, steering and suspension, HVAC, Body systems, hydraulics, and air systems.Ability to learn and operate computer-based maintenance software. Microsoft operating systems software proficiency considered an asset.Required to maintain a clean,
