We operate a modern and efficient dimension sawmill and planermill producing high-quality lumber products sold across North America and in overseas markets. Additionally, Dunkley operates sawmill facilities in Grand Cache, Alberta, and Carrot River, Saskatchewan.We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our team. This full time, on-site position will be based out of our Strathnaver location, which serves as a central hub for our regional operations. This role will involve providing front-line technical support to staff, assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, and ensuring prompt resolution of IT issues. Reporting directly to the IT Supervisor, the IT Support Tech will play an important role in maintaining the day-to-day functionality of our technology systems and delivering excellent support to our team.Key responsibilities include:Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person for hardware, software, and connectivity issuesRespond promptly to help desk requests, logging and escalating issues as neededSet up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheralsSupport communication systems,



including VOIP, mobile devices, and video conferencing toolsInstall, update, and troubleshoot software and operating systemsDocument and maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system configurationsAssist with IT projects and system upgradesContribute to the development and improvement of IT policies, procedures, and user guidesManage the IT asset inventory, including recycling and disposal of retired equipmentThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and technical skills:At least one year of experience in a Help Desk or IT Support role (internships/co-ops welcome)Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, including Windows 10/11, Office 365, basic networking, and Active DirectoryStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with users of varying degrees of technical knowledgeStrong ability to work well under pressure and independently with minimal supervisionOrganized, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologiesSalary is commensurate upon level of experience, competitively in the $65,000 to $80,000 range as a starting wage, with a comprehensive benefits/pension package, and plenty of room to grow within the company.We appreciate all applicants' interest in this position.
