We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Meat Department Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will assist customers, maintain product displays, ensure proper food handling and sanitation, and support the daily operations of the meat department. The candidate must be available week days, weekends, holidays and be available for up to 44 hours per week and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

· Provide friendly and helpful customer service.

· Assist customers with product selection.

· Prepare, package and label meat products.

· Stock, rotate, price, and display meat products according to department standards.

· Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked display cases and work areas.

· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

· Check product quality, freshness, dates, and packaging.

· Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing inventory.





· Operate department equipment safely after appropriate training.

· Assist with the daily cleaning of the department.

· Follow company policies and procedures.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Previous food service, grocery, or meat department experience is an asset.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.

· Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment.

· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move products as required.

· Solid attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 – 44.0 per week
